モダンな建物に対して、庭園へのオーダーは「落ち着いた和の雰囲気」というものでした。建物の三面が隣家と接していることから、光と緑が楽しめ、なおかつプライバシーにも配慮した植栽を意識しています。常緑樹、シマトネリコ、ソヨゴ、レイランディーなどが目隠しの役目を果たしています。

To contrast the modern style of the home, this client requested a relaxing and restful Japanese-style garden. Since three sides of the home are adjacent to neighboring homes, arrangement for privacy and sunlight exposure were key aspects of planning. For this purpose, Griffith’s Ash, Longstalk Holly and Leyland Cypress were selected for planting.
